Preliminary exercise

Produce the front page new school/college magazine, featuring a photograph of a student in medium close-up plus some appropriately laid out text and a masthead additionally candidates must produce a mock-up of the layout of the contents to demonstrate their grasp of the program. 

Main Task 

Produce the front page, contents and double page spread of a new music magazine.

Preliminary task

In this task i learned how to edit photos within Photoshop, this is a new skill which i may need when i come to make my final magazine. The Photoshop software is a new tool to me and my final magazine will hopefully show progress on me learning the software.

For the contents page i learned how to change filters and make the colour scheme black and white, i chose todo this as it would show off my new skills that Ive learned.

Preliminary task (Draft)

This is my draft of the front cover of my preliminary task.
I chose this layout as it gives enough room for the picture to be viable and to see the group of sixth form students helping a lost sixth former.
The text boxes contain subheadings of topics within the magazine.
I will be using this layout for my final front cover for the school magazine.

 This is just one thing that I've learned during my Photoshop experience, during this I've learned a lot. Being able to edit pictures and make pictures look cartoon like which will help within my genre of music, a metal/rock theme and on some magazines they've got a punk rock style to them as well.

This is another thing i also learned on Photoshop, being able to make photos look cartoon like, this helps because it fits along the theme and style of my magazine.

Requiem magazine photos, some will be used and some wont be used

A few of the photos are going to be used in my magazine, i took multiple shots and angles of the guitar which will be used as a logo.

These are the photos that I’ve taken for my magazine, some of these pictures will be used throughout my magazine and some of them wont, I took a lot so I had a wide range of pictures to choose from and then be able to select ones that I thought looked perfect for the magazine.

Ideas on how to start the interview and ideas on the magazine name!

When i first started the write about my interview i didn't know what to write and how to start, so by going online i was able to find an interview of a band within the same genre of music. The picture below is just a picture of what i could do as an interview, so i took the idea and made my own questions up too.

A Day To Remember Band Interview

  These pictures are some ideas on what to call the magazine, during the process of thinking about the name, i remember that during a avenged sevenfold song i heard a few interesting words, so i decided that they sounded like a good magazine company, and i translated the words into English and then i started to type words into google translate and translate them into Latin because the words Regnet Exitum is Latin for reign destruction. so i was looking at other words in Latin, and i found the word Requim, and i liked the sound of it and it sounded quite like a metal band magazine and i used it.
